Place To Go: Singapore Botanical Gardens

Singapore has been known as shopping paradise. But if you're on budget and want to enjoy nature rather than inhaling mall's air conditioner, one of the place that we would recommend is definitely Singapore Botanical Gardens.

How to go there: We definitely recommend using MRT, aligning at Botanic Garden (Circle line)
Fee: To enter the park itself, Singapore Botanical Gardens did not charge any fees. But if you want to go to some section of the parks, like National Orchid Garden, they do charge entrance fee.
Best day to go there: Weekdays / Fri & Sat. On Sundays it's usually very crowded and you can nearly enjoy the park.
Best time to go there: Morning / Evening (around 4-6 p.m). On afternoon it's usually very hot since the sun shines so bright.
Things to bring: Snacks (which you can buy in the nearest supermarket (Cold Storage) or convenience store (Cheers)), drinks, mat, frisbee / ball / other outdoor activity items EXCEPT any skating vehicles since it's prohibited on the park.

Singapore Botanical Gardens is a good place to have relaxation, especially with family. You can teach your kids to get to know the nature because they put the plant tags on nearly every plants, and there are some animals like swans, ducks, and turtles.

For sporty people, you can definitely enjoy your running or jogging session here because the park is so clean and you can breath in the fresh air. You can also bring along your pet like dogs to let them enjoy the nature. They do have some rules for pets, like some of the dog breeds you need to put muzzle, and after your pet done doing their business, you have to clean it up.

Overall, we think that Singapore Botanical Gardens is another cheap alternative for recreations in Singapore.
